Was just about to insert a tampon and I felt something at the ...um, opening, sort of coming from inside.
Its a soft roundish thing and it deinitely should not be there
I'm really freaking out and I know I have to got to the Doctor but I just want to be prepared so if anyone has any idea please tell me what this could be.
It doesn't hurt at all, I haven't noticed anything unusual until now.
I am really worried.

(and no, its not UCM )

Maybe a cyst or a polyp?

Blandmum · 30/08/2007 17:21

Tampon?

Mind you if you'd retained one for a while It would have been honking!

suwoo · 30/08/2007 17:28

I've got a ring for my prolapse and have just had to have a larger one fitted [fanny like a bucket emoticon] I will have to have surgery though, but I'm currently delaying it. If you 'bear down' whilst squatting and it protudes, then it sound like a prolpase- sorry!! I would rather have a vole up there than this blody prolapse.

WTFisGoingOnWithMyBits · 30/08/2007 17:30

Thankyou Suwoo.

Will do a bit of squatting and see what happens.

Jesus. This is not how I expected my day to pan out

Am I the only one now trying to imagine exactly what a [fanny like a bucket emoticon] would look like....

CountessDracula · 30/08/2007 17:36

suwoo
you have just made me feel very faint!

WTFisGoingOnWithMyBits · 30/08/2007 17:36

Bit like this but on a bigger scale?

OP posts:
suwoo · 30/08/2007 17:37

I hope its not one, but just something and nothing. I'm at the gynae next Monday for my 6 month fanny check
I'll keep my eye on this thread to see how you and your fanjo are doing- good luck LOL

suwoo · 30/08/2007 17:39

As they say oop north 'its like throwing a sausage up a ginnel' PMSL

loopylou6 · 30/08/2007 19:18

yes deffo sounds like a prolapse, i got one when i was just pregnant with dd and i ahd a really bad cough at the time, the doc reckons the cough contributed to the prolapse, its a "front wall" prolapse or summit like that and yes it can go back in with pelvic floor exercises whispers and sex helps mine go back up i quire like my prolapse actually, gives the illusion that im nice and tight "down there" pmfsl

savethecheerleader · 30/08/2007 20:05

I have been diagnosed with a bladder and uterus prolapse this week and I am being referred to gynae. Pretty gross. I can poke it back up but it comes back again (shudder)

vole3 · 30/08/2007 20:15

I once read a book called 'The Real ER Stories' where a woman in the US went to the ER with 'green vines coming out of her virginie'.
She had a prolapse and has popped a potato up there to keep it in and it had sprouted
I have xrayed folks for lots of things, but never a potato. The nearest thing was a parsnip and that was a chap.....

Scoobi6 · 30/08/2007 22:20

pmsl loopylou

I had a prolapse a couple of months after dd was born, WTF, and sounds like you might have something similar. A "bulge" at the entrance, mine is the posterior wall of the vagina and gets worse when I need to poo (sorry if tmi). Comes and goes, not painful at all but occasionally a little uncomfortable. You can also have front wall coming down, or cervix. I saw GP who was terribly excited about having something a little different to look at and got referred to obstetric physio, who was fab. Pelvic floors really help wall prolapses and surgery considered to be a last option. Don't know so much about cervical prolapse but try not to worry till you know what it is

VengefulSquirrel · 30/08/2007 22:23

Hi WTF, you are not alone...sorry to share this everyone, but I have a 5 month old dd who weighed in at 9lb 4oz with a head circumference in the 90th percentile. About 4 weeks after she was born, when on the loo I had exactly the same symptoms as you.

I was terrified and went to the docs the next day - had a full gynae exam and he declared it was a cystocele (i.e. front wall collapse - prolapsed bladder -sort of like a hernia). If you look on Google you will find pictures and diagrams under cystocele and you will know if it is what you've got.

I've been told physiotherapy can help (electrical charges and weights - either it will be fun or I will have a fanjo that should apply for 2012) and as a last resort, surgery. Am heading back to the docs next week for assessment.

Hope this helps and at least you know you are not alone!

suwoo · 30/08/2007 22:36

God, Loopy lou, I can't believe you like your prolapse??????? I had mine after DD who was 9lb and on the 98th centile. I was 26 and size 10, was farkin shit. I have to shag through a fuckin ring, its not pleasant. Mine is anterior and posterior and needs a surgical repair. I am having an assessment in September with the 2 consultant gynaecologists, one of whom is male. Last time I was there, I had to push the prolapse out whilst they took measurements of it, with a fuckin lolly stick type ruler.

WTFisgoingon, I really hope this isn't the case for you.

loopylou6 · 30/08/2007 22:45

omg suwoo, that sounds a nightmare! my doctor reckons mine is only slight, i had it rechecked at a recent smear test, theres been no mention of surgery and i dont have a ring or anyhting... when i first noticed it i was 3 months pregant and if i crossed my legs whilst standing up i could actually feel it, iw as convinced my cervix was falling out, its really not so bad now but i do think it makes me feel tighter, and im sorry but PMFSL at your "shaging through a ring comment, that really tickled me , seriously though, hope u get it sorted. x

suwoo · 01/09/2007 21:13

Thanks LoupyLoo I am used to it now. Just don't get me pissed or I am likely to try and show it to you......PMSLand no I'm not joking

gemmiegoatlegs · 01/09/2007 21:18

is anyone else interested to hear some of vole3's x-ray stories?

GodzillasBumcheek · 01/09/2007 21:55

But it also sounds like the vag cyst i had after having my twins. I eventually went into hosp for a minor operation, and it has been fine ever since, so don't panic!!!
