Dizziness, lack of appetite and headache - sinuses!

I have already posted about this before but the flipping dizziness is driving me mad!

I have had a sinus infection which is clearing but not gone quite yet.

It appears dizziness isn’t really that common with sinus infections?! Is there anything I can do? It’s still really affecting me day to day.

3 weeks and counting!

Should add I’ve lost 5lbs because of it!

Did you have a virus before the sinus infection?

Do you wear glasses?

I started off with a headache and extreme fatigue and some dizziness suddenly on the Monday night. It didn’t shift and stayed like that for about 5 days when my face started hurting and I realised it was my sinuses. Went on antibiotics on day 10/11 I think it was.

Facial pain is improving daily but headache, dizziness and lack of appetite persists.

I do wear glasses / contacts. I’ve been trying to wear contacts more as the glasses hurt my face but it’s not been every day (had my eyes tested in October and got a new prescription). Had an MRI last week which confirmed sinuses aren’t 100% x

I would be looking at www.nhs.uk/conditions/labyrinthitis/

Which can sometimes come alongside a sinus infection.

I hope you feel better soon Flowers

I know it can take 6 weeks sometimes (sorry!)

Thank you. Funnily enough I did have a read of that earlier. Bleh!!

Still it can always be worse!

Omg I've had the exact same thing!
Only recently started antibiotics but I used sterimar de-congestion salt water spray from superdrug and it has worked a treat. No more headaches!

Sorry to hear that lovely! It’s my first time and I don’t wish to repeat it! The headache is exhausting. Nothing touches it!

The only thing I found recently that got rid of a constant post viral headache was Superdrugs own - Migraine relief tablets. They were £2.60 & contain Lysine.

Tesco do them as well. I keep a stock now.

I went from crying in Superdrug as I couldnt bear the pain, to be walking around our park after 90 minutes playing with DC.

Absolute game changer for me.

I also bought the facial steamer from Argos and add Lavender oil to the water, which helps as well.

It sounds like vertigo - which can be viral. Ask your gp to prescribe an anti sickness drug and the dizziness should ease until the virus is gone.

@fizzypoo I just laughed out loud at your screen name. I needed that!

Thanks both for your advice. Back to the doctors it is!!
