Hip Dysplasia (adult) and Lupus?

Hello!

1st time poster looking for advice...

When I was 9 I fell off my skates and landed heavily on my hip, took to A&E and nothing was found apart from bruising, after this my hip would always ache when id walked a lot or when the weather was cold.
After taking the kiddies to the park my hip was so sore I cried with the pain prompting me to go to the drs (both sides of family have arthritis) thinking it could possibly be arthritis... Dr sent me for a blood test and Xray which I got the results from yesterday and it showed that I have Hip Dysplasia HOWEVER the blood results are also showing a raised marker for Lupus (did a lot of googling for this!) and I am being referred to the Rheumatology specialist for the Lupus and physio for my hip.

So my question is has anyone had any experience with either conditions and what am I to expect going forward?

Thanks!

No but my older sister has Lupus and was born with one leg shorter than the other...maybe it's hip dysplacia and we never knew as she was born in the 60s...and her DD was born with hip displacia.

She has systemic lupus by the way. She's on medication...it took a while to get that right but she's fine. She has regular check ups.
