I think this is what i've got anyway. I've just got two tanned areas on my face around my eyes. I've had them since I gave birth to dd 15 months ago. They are not hugely noticeable, I cover them with make up, but when we were on holiday this year dh pointed them out. I've been really paranoid about them since. I've just seen an advertisement for something called Thiospot which is a cream that's supposed to lighten areas of darkened skin. It's about £28 for a tube and i'm just wondering if anyone's used it or heard of it as it's quite a lot of money to pay out for something that might not work.

I don't know anything about that cream (hopefully someone else will) but do be very careful, there is very little that can actually lighten your skin without harming it - basically by a chemical burn - so test it on another part of your anatomy for a week or so first. I have a vague recollection that protecting them from sunlight helps the marks to fade.

bonniej, see what if anything your GP can suggest first. Don't know anything about this cream but did have pregnancy chloasma, I think it was called. Mine has faded naturally - took a couple of years - and hopefully yours will too.
