If you've had surgery on your stomach, when did the bloating go?

I had keyhole surgery on my stomach last week and the bloating is so uncomfortable. It's making the incision sites painful too, I think because the bloating is stretching it. How long until the bloating decreased and did you find anything that helped it?

Exercise helps - going for a walk (nothing strenuous! Keep active if you can).
