Haemorrhoid treatment- would you have an op?

I’ve name changed for this as it’s embarrassing.

I’ve had haemorrhoids on and off ever since pregnancy 15 years ago. when I get them they always thrombose. I have a big skin tag and a small skin tag from left over ones, they don’t cause any pain but do make cleaning a bit difficult and are unsightly.
In the past I’ve had banding and HALO to help treat the piles.
At the moment I only get haemorrhoids about 3 times a year and although it’s painful I can just about manage with lots of warm baths etc. The only treatment left is a heamorrhoidectomy.
Would you suggest I go for it? Or as it’s only 3 times a year I suffer to not bother with it due to the horrendous recovery?
Thanks
