Hi all so I'm completely terrified and anxiety ridden. 2 months ago I noticed a pea sized lump under my skin in my neck. It's located in the supravascular region of the neck above my collarbone ascot maybe 2-3 above give or take. I assumed my tooth was infected because I had a shooting pain down the side of my neck and I have a broken molar in that side. I scheduled an emergency dental appointment and my tooth isn't infected but I need a root canal. Anyway 2 months later the lump is still present, it moves around and I notice when I consume alcohol it hurts a bit. Today however I found another swollen lymph on my right side of the neck and it's near the upper section of my collarbone going towards my shoulder. I'm having blood work fund tomorrow but in so scared. This year has been really rough full of personal life tragedies and I know stress can affect the body but like I said I'm just really scared. I haven't lost weight but my skin will get itchy at times but it always has. I had a colonoscopy done last month because digestive issues and so far the only thing they found is internal hemorrhoids but tomorrow I will get the pathology results at the medical records department. Anyway any support would be nice and any helpful advice as well as similar situations thanks.

First of all. Breathe. Find a quiet place and focus on your breathing. On the in and out. It will help slow everything down.

It's natural to be anxious but that panicked anxiety is making you feel worse. Focus on what you can control. The not knowing is the worst part. The very worst part. You're in limbo. Once you know what's going on Crown Blushyou can take control and plan.
In the meantime, remember there's 100 things to discount before cancer is diagnosed. It could be any number of things. I know it's not easy. We all flip the worst case scenario. Remember it's more likely not to be cancer. Do something nice for yourself today. Something indulgent.
Wishing you every luck with the tests tomorrow.

Not sure how a little face with a crown appeared....

I have an enlarged lymph gland in my neck. It’s been there since I was 14. Then about 6 months ago another one popped up. I saw the GP who said it’s small and mobile, the lack of other symptoms such as sudden weight loss (10lbs + within weeks) and night sweats means it’s fine and no further tests required.

Hopefully this will reassure you.

P.s both lymph nodes are still ‘up’.

Go get it checked out.
And remember that, even if it is Lymphoma, it can usually be treated ( from one who knows 😏).
Hoping your pathology results are positive, but it sounds like that’s a different area?
Either way, you may just be run down after your stressful year , and your body is trying to fight something off.
But once you know, you can deal with it 💐

Thank you that makes me feel better. I'm just a nervous wreck in general and Google does not help. Just got my blood work done now to wait for the results.

So bit of an update got my blood work done and the results are normal CBC is good but turns out I’m vitamin d deficient. I have some digestive issues (focal active colitis) so I’m thinking that’s the cause for the swollen lymph nodes but recently found another swollen node on the left side of my neck and it’s tender and a little sore. It’s frustrating because when I go to the dr I feel they aren’t really listening to my concerns because I’m so young. I have another drs appointment next week to go over the blood results so we’ll see what happens. 😕😕😕
