Can you have an ear infection without pain?

I had a virus last week and my right ear is quite blocked and I've lost some hearing in it. It's not painful and I've not had an smelly discharge, just some that I can only describe as 'snot' like. It's making me feel a bit dizzy and 'lopsided' too. I had a ruptured eardrum earlier this year on that side, though that healed up.

It could be an infection, or even labyrinthitis. I get ear infections a lot, and I know when they are coming, before the pain starts. I’d get it checked out as soon as possible.

I had an ear infection with no pain. It affected my balance - especially with sudden movement.
