Lost a filling. Dentist can't see me for another week?

Just that really.
I had lots of work done in the Summer.
I was flossing my teeth last night and a small filling has fallen out.

There's no pain it's just abit sensitive. Dentist didn't seem concerned and booked me in for Monday (6 days away)

Is that ok? I thought it was an emergency? Receptionist said that it would fine.

It should be absolutely fine OP. Just make sure you keep it clean. If you need to use either an internal brush (like a tepe) or a single tufted orthodontic brush in there to make sure it's clean.

If you are worried there are temporary filling kits from boots, however my personal opinion is a lost filling should be easier to clean than potentially a badly placed temporary, so unless it's like an obvious easy to fill hole I'd leave it alone.

Thank you so much for replying.

My DH said exactly the same, we have one of the kits at home. The filling that fell out is really small so wouldn't take long to fill. If I mess about with it, it would be a disaster Grin

I'll take extra with it till Monday.
