I have a pre molar that grew on the inside of the other teeth, so it's sort of on the palate but beside the other teeth. It has an old filling and recently a part of the tooth has broken off. Tomorrow I go to the dentist and I was wondering whether if they want to remove it, would it be a normal extraction or would it be more complicated as it's not in the gum like the others. Because the tooth is already heavily filled and I have always struggled to keep it clean around the gum, I'm not sure it's worth saving. It's not cosmetically needed and the remaining teeth still make a row. I can see the black (filling/decay) goes right down as far as the skin So my questions are 1) should they be able to pull it out in the surgery despite its location and 2) would they do this tomorrow or do you usually have to go back. It's NHS if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
