Hi, I've been having a lot of bowel problems since childbirth, it's been going on for 6 months now. I know, I should go DRs but I have bad anxiety about medical stuff and just cant pluck up the courage to go.

Symptoms are pain during bowel movement
Pain after bowel movement, lasts a few hours
Pain in the front too after bowel movement

Can anyone shed any light?? Maybe anyone who has had something similar

It could be a prolapse of some sort where the rectum has moved about a bit since childbirth. Did you have a forceps or assisted delivery? Are your stools normal or are they a funny shape? Does stool ever get stuck or do you experience 'incomplete emptying' so it feels like there is more after you have finished on the loo?
Go to the GP. 10 mins of anxiety in the GPs office is a good trade-off for all the months of worrying that you have done and that you plan to do for the next while. You are already worrying your head off with unknown fears, so you may as well put that worry to a productive use by engaging with the GP.

I did think prolapse...

No, normal delivery, really quick labour, had no problems at all! Stools are normal and regular! And no, never gets stuck nor does it feel like I have more after I go!

I know, I will go it just takes a lot for me to pluck up that courage, so just looking for a bit of help from people to see if they've had anything similar!

Thanks for the reply!
