migranes seem to be becoming more freqent and the only common theme is when I am tired, or have had lots of dairy products,or both. they always make me sick and only last about 2 hours so in this sense i am lucky. I am trying to aviod all dairy products but this is so difficult, does anyone know what else I can do?

definitely avoid dairy - it worked for me

try soya milk - it isnt that hard when you get used to it

fforsale do you also avoid things with any dairy in them which isnt obvious for example cakes. Im not sure quite how strict i need to be.

errrmm i avoid cakes

or make your own but subsitute the dairy for soya /non dairy products. Pure spread is a good alternative to butter/marg

bananas are meant to be good for keeping migraines away. Co-codomol are good at keeping it at bay (still headache though).

I found that tiredness was the key for me. If i felt like i really couldn't get up in the morning then i would get a migraine during the day. THey're grim and so debilitating, so sympathy to you.

I found using ice packs wrapped in a tea towel, pressed on the back of my neck and head would get rid of them if you did it during the aura as the cold shrinks the blood vessels back down quickly. However,I do understand its not easy to sit around with your eyes shut and ice packs on when you've young kids running around
