Aww poor thing.

I've been pondering with the 'flu jab - have asthma and our GP has a flu jab clinic last Thursday and this Thursday coming. I've got an appointment for Thursday...BUT..

can't decide whether to have it done or not. I really don't want to be ill afterwards and I've only ever had proper 'flu twice in my life (1993 and 2001) so I'm sort of thinking maybe I'll just take the risk....dunno..

Hope your DH gets better soon

Hope your dh gets better soon! I'm getting my flu jab when I get there as I've never had the flu and am terrified of getting it (to an irrational degree).

Hope the jab works for him and this is the sickest he gets this season.

cross-posted with you, Yorkie. Hope you feel better too!

its worked pretty well the previous 2 winters, just minor flu, but as they thinks problem stemmed from the flu he caught 2.5years ago he has to have the jab.

I've got mine booked for the 16th

I get one every year. I've never had the flu, but I've had bad colds and I've had mastitis and I certainly don't want an illness that is probably like having the two combined.

I've never ahd any side effects from the vaccine. In fact, they say it's impossible to get flu from the vaccine, because the flu in it is dead. Your husband has probably just coincidentally got a cold.

I have it every year cos am quite chesty. My doctor has always told me to have two panadol immediately after having it. I have always done this and must admit have never had any side effects.

I've had a jab for a few years and never had any side effects or been told to take anything. Reminded me to book in for this year though.

My best friend (early 30's) and my Nan (80ish) have both suffered horrendous flu following those jabs and vowed never to have it again.
