Chicken pox scar

DD (17 months) had a bout of chicken pox about 6 weeks ago. Most of the spots have gone but she's left with a few largish red spots/craters, including a round pink scar in the middle of her forehead.

We saw the Gp this morning about a few things and he said it was common for the pink spots/scars to hang around like this for up a year. Is there anything - a cram perhaps - that I can use to help?

I got the pox when I was 13. Still have a small crater on my face. Had a white bumpy scar on my chest for about 10 yrs but it's gone now.

Oh dear. Is it just the crater that remains - does the redness go away to some extent?

I'm hoping to some extent that the scar might 'soften' a little as her head grows.

yes redness goes ime

DS1 has scar on one eyebrow but it's just a small crater now (he's 8 and had pox at 3)

Quite cool and dudey actually but I can see your concern re dd

My DD has several scars on her back but they are just white spots, not unsightly.
