Hot Itchy soles of Feet at Night

For the last 2 years, on and off, but especially during Fall and Winter, I've been having extremely itchy soles of my feet at night. I go to bed and will suddenly feel as though my feet are tingling and then they get super hot.

When I look at them they are covered in red bumps. I've tried using cortisone cream, anti fungal cream, cream for dry feet, taking antihistamines at night and nothing seems to help.

Last night I felt the soles when this happened and literally could feel the heat coming off of them. Then felt another area of my feet which felt cool and normal.

I don't use any fragrance in my laundry detergents or lotions. I thought it could have been an allergy.

Its disrupting my sleep and driving me nuts. HELP!

Only other thing is I'm in perimenopause and wondering if this is why.
Has anyone ever experienced this?

I get that sometimes and have put it down to being perimenopausal. I tend to stick my feet out from under the covers, and if it's really bad, put a damp flannel over them.

I get the hot feet thing, they feel itchy too! I think it’s the perimenopause. Oh joy.

I had it a lot in my 20s... not since. I wonder if caffeine was my cause.

Oh joy is right! Ugh. It was better last night, only woke up once, convinced myself to ignore them, and luckily fell back asleep.

It is bizarre!
