Infected wound ***WARNING*** gross picture

Hi all,
I had major abdominal surgery 11 days ago and I have got an infection in my wound. I saw a dector yesterday and got prescribed antibiotics and the staples are due to be removed on Tuesday
Do you think I should go and have it looked at again tomorrow?
I feel ok in myself, no temperature or anything just miserable and in pain 😭

Good luck for Friday and work on Monday. Its horrible and wet outside so just stay in and let the mindies glue and paint for some time

Good news!
All clear, cured by the surgery 🙂
So no further treatment needed and I have been discharged from the hospital
The doctor was very embarrassed that the team had no idea I had been so ill. (The hospital that I was in with the infection is where I had my original appointment and then diagnosis with the Gynaecologist. They are in the same trust)
They hadn’t let them know at all, she was extremely apologetic and I felt a bit sorry for her!
I’m now down to having the wound cleaned, packed and dressed every 2 days, so slowly making progress 🤞🙂
I can hardly believe that the end is in sight. From getting the results of the MRI scan and today was 10 weeks and 1 day. Feels more like 10 years.

Things are still going along well.
I’m still have to go to the nurse but only every other day now. Went back to work last Monday when 5 weeks post op. Could definitely done with more time off, but needs must.
I’m not doing any lifting etc and being as careful as I can

We looked into it but we weren’t elagable.
