Hi all,
Many people are well aware of the issues that some babies have with flattened/mishapen heads. Although in many cases these can be resolved without a helmet, there are some cases that are really quite severe including the sons of two friends of mine now who have resorted to a helmet to help reshape their heads. Unfortunately these helmets are not available on the nhs and cost approximately £2000 to the parents to get done. Thankfully both of my friends have been in a position to get the help they need from family to pay this, but not every family in this situation has a choice. There is currently an online petition to try and make the government more aware of this condition and to encourage the provision of helmets on the nhs to those who really need them. Please consider signing this, even if your own children have no need of such treatment.
