Baby girl's labia-what are they supposed to look like?

One of my dd's nursery workers took me aside yesterday and said that she thought she should mention that my dd's labia looked quite large swollen and that i should probably get it checked out with my doc. now, i'm no expert but they've always looked pretty normal to me - nice and neat if a little podgy - but i assumed that this is because she is at that age where she is a little podgy everywhere. but then i think that maybe she isn't normal as the nursery woman must have seen loads more girls' bits than i have!!!!! i'm taking her to the doc's next week anyway, so will ask. but interested to hear of anyone else's experience! thanks

We are all skightly different I suppose; I wouldn't worry
Ask your gp about it to set your mind at rest though!

If they were normal skin colour it's probably nothing. If she's always looked like this and you see no difference (no redness, rash, soreness, or one side looking alot different in some way) then it's probably the nursery worker getting a bit hypochondriaccy!

i'm sure it's nothing but just all round pudge! and really, it's not like they are hanging round by her knees or anything! there's no soreness, changes, etc. if anyone else had said it i would have dismissed but as this woman must have seen a lot, i've just got a bit paranoid!
