I have mild asthma since I was a teen.Always took my inhaler and exercise and cold weather made me breathless.Fast forward 30 years and I'm ok.Except when we had the heatwave.one day thinking the oxygen had gone off the planet.
Last week I had throat infection chest infection and headache with fevers.and chills.
I found it difficult to breath.cue antibiotics and inhalers.
I have an.overdue review next week and flu jab.Anyone got worse in meno as I understand the hormones can affect asthma. My dsis and niece have it much worse.Niece has been hospitalised when she was young.

Yes mine came back with perimeno and then got severe with progressive permanent lung obstruction after a viral infection in 2017 Sad

Hormones do have an effect on lung function. Going on HRT may help if you are comfortable with the risks.

Ps yes keep up with your flu jabs and have a pneumococcal vaccination. Don’t end up like me!

I got it privately at supdrug for about £30 as my GP was out of stock but you could ask your Gp first. Lasts several years.
