bleeding/spotting and breasfeeding advice needed

I am exclusively breastfeeding but I appear to be spotting some blood. Not sure what it is could it be my period making its return (its not like a period though just spotting) it has happened before but it was after my DP and I had sex. My LO is 11wks so really did not thing it would be my period.

Can anyone give me advice?

Blimey, you are doing well to be having sex at 11 weeks (now I feel all blighted and redundant (only kidding).

Was all well at your six week check? If so, you may just want to ask the doc to check. I'm assuming you aren't actually pregnant btw - have you checked? Sometimes it takes a while to heal though so it's probably insignificant.

Pregnant well lets hope not

Could be your first visit from mother nature which in the beginning are not always a fully fledged period I dont think as theres lots of hormonal activity still going on.

I was still bleeding for a good couple of months or more after giving birth so could still be a little of that - had your uterus gone down at 6 week check? I wouldnt worry too much though but always best to get these things checked out if it continues
