Chickenpox spots duration post illness?

Does anyone know how long chickenpox spots hang around for once the illness is done with? DS had chickenpox a month ago and whilst the spots have faded, most of them are still there, some are faint but all visible.

He has a couple that I think I shall need to bio oil/vitamin A, but was wondering about the rest? They have not been scratched at all.

How long did yours hang around for?

hi, on my ds2 his spots were there for ages probably around 6 weeks, getting fainter but still noticeable.

my dd had them a few months ago and there are still a couple of scars from the biggest spots - 1 on her forehead and 1 under her arm.

DS had CP in May/June this year
now he has just two visible scars on his face but they are fading (he had a really bad case)
