Hi everyone

So, I got a 2 week wait referral to a gastroenterologist today. I'm feeling a bit nervous and wondered if anyone else was in the same situation so we could support one another?

Sorry they were rude to you @anotherday4. It's just awful and unnecessary when you're already stressed and worried. Flowers. glad cervix looked ok, have they said whether you'll need treatment for the prolapse?

@anotherday4 sorry they was rude, it’s awful when they are and totally unnecessary. Have they offered any treatment for the wall collapsing? Have they said why they want to scan your womb too? Hope your ok

anotherday4 · 16/11/2019 13:34

Offered physio and if that doesn't work there's surgery xx I'm worried what they will find in my womb because when I was pregnant there was a cyst in my placenta i know my anxiety it's playing a part in my worries but I can't help it xx Thankyou for thinking of me

Hi MyBeloved. Flowers I'm glad you've got the appointment through and hope it yields some answers. Will you get the results from GP or is it back to the consultant? I hope you get a different one, his conduct was inexcusable.

I've been back to the GP, my Vit D is low because I'm awful at remembering to take the tablets as I can't have them with my thyroid medication. My GP said the peri menopause can cause all kinds of issues and she struggled terribly with her memory and she suspects that's what all my bleeding and spotting is, but to wait and see what the gynaecologist says next week. She did ask how old my mum was when she went through the menopause but I don't know and she died last year so I can't ask. Has thrown up some odd feelings

MyBeloved · 20/11/2019 17:14

@DobbinOnTheLA, so sorry to hear you lost your mum last year. It must have been hard for you having that question asked of you 😥Flowers

It is really common to have erratic bleeding around perimenopause. I did experience that before my hysterectomy. I really hope all will be well and easily resolved.

I am hoping that whoever does ny endoscopy (hopefully not the same consultant) will be able to give me answers on the same day as the procedure. All this waiting is the pits.

@MyBeloved fingers crossed it’s not the same consultant and you get some answers. Waiting is the pits.

@DobbinOnTheLA so sorry it brought up odd feelings for you

I’ve just rang dermatology to see if the results were in and they couldn’t tell me over the phone but said he can tell me it’s been fully removed and not to worry and I’ll receive a letter shortly which is a relief.
