You don't have to have kids to join, and in any case you should join when you start ttc (tring to conceive).

Glad he is doing OK.

alibobins · 15/08/2007 09:54

Its still shell

Ali's phoned he's off the steriod drip but still on fluids. She says its agrivated his asthma and his chest is still weak from pneumonia a few weeks ago so he is having two hourly nebulisers but hopefully they will be home later.

Shell - glad to hear your little one (I say that as I know what you aunts are like, technically he's yours right?) is improving. How scary.

I'd just lie to ask what epi-pen is?, I've never heard of it.

lemonaid · 15/08/2007 10:12

Easywriter it's an auto-injector that delivers epinephrine to prevent/treat anaphylactic shock it contains a spring-loaded needle so is easy to use (and looks a bit like a pen).

Easywriter · 15/08/2007 10:17

Is it the sort of thing you should have at home just in case or would you only have one if you have an increased risk of anaph...tic shock (Sorry, no idea how to spell that) for a family member?

lemonaid · 15/08/2007 10:52

Normally you'd only have one if you had a known serious allergy. People I know with allergies to nuts or beestings, for example, carry them with them all the time.

You can use the same mechanism for other emergency medication -- for example, my father has one with something for his Parkinsons in it in case he seizes up entirely.

Blu · 15/08/2007 13:55

Alibobins and Shell - very pleased to hear that Babybobins is stable. It must have been heart-stoppingly frightening.
Well done for using the epi-pen.

Hi all its a very stressed emotional god know what else ali here.

Thankyou for all the support you gave my sis she is the best.

Well after i posted he went downhill so quickly he vommited was wheezing his eyes started rolling and he was very floppy all in the matter of seconds I gave epi-pen while shell phoned ambulance he didn't respond well at all.

Ambulance literally took one look at him and whisked us in ambulance and blue lighted us to hosp he had adrenalin and oxygen in ambulance and was rushed stgraight into recus where a team was waiting for him doctors and nurses were everywhere it was horrible i really thought my little baby was going to die i just cant get the image out my head i felt so helpless it was thety best noise ever when he started to cry.

By about three thisafternoon he was back to his happy little self so they let us home at 6 so all settled in the bobbins household.

Sorry for the ramble my head is everyware.
