Painful blisters all over my hands and fingers, ideas!?

Ive woken up this morning with small blisters covering all of my hands and fingers, its started of with one or two but as the morning has gone on they're just spreading all over my hands. They aren't itchy just painful and making it hard to do anything. I'm not allergic to anything and its never happened before, I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone before?

Hand foot and mouth maybe?

Wildorchidz · 06/10/2019 14:40

Could it be the start of hand, foot and mouth disease ?

Changemynamexchangemyname · 06/10/2019 14:41

That looks and sounds like hand foot and mouth disease. Have you got kids or work with them?

If that’s what it is you have my utmost sympathy as it’s bloody horrible.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 06/10/2019 14:42

Yeah that looks exactly like HFM. Awful in adults I’m afraid.

Anthilda · 06/10/2019 22:15

I had this when I was going through some extreme stress. Dont think I had hfm but I never thought of that at the time. It cleared quite quickly. Maybe put some calamine lotion on it?

CloudRusting · 06/10/2019 22:21

I had blisters like that when I had HFM

managedmis · 07/10/2019 02:12

HFM

Do you have mouth ulcers too?

NameChange05 · 07/10/2019 12:31

Turns out it is hand foot and mouth, enquired about it when i had an unrelated appointment! My 19 month old has had only 1 mouth ulcer and been hardly eating and really upset at night so I guess thats what has happened. Thanks for all the answers everyone. Anyone have any tips on how to help it?

Sorry that’s what it’s turned out to be, how are you feeling? I think painkillers were the only thing that helped, I could barely walk or hold a knife and fork to eat when I had it.

managedmis · 09/10/2019 01:05

Hmm, best thing is paracetamol and hydrocortisone if it itches.
