Has anyone's kid had laser treatment for birth marks and if so, how old was your childen and how effective was the treatment?

My friend's daughter is having it done at the moment. She started age 8, don't think they like to start too early. It is having some effect, they are pleased.

What type of birthmark does your friend's daughter have and will the laser treatment remove it 100%? Also does she need a general anaesthetic for it? Sorry for all the questions....
