Questions about catarrh

I'm used to the normal spectrum (clear-white-yellow-green), but pink? Also gaudy orange? And where's it all coming from? Buckets and buckets of the stuff!
What's happening up there in my nasal passages? Is this anything to do with the glorious sinus headaches I'm having as well?

is have a very very hot shower so the steam opens all the relevant passages then have a piece of hot butttered toast with 2-3 cloves of garlice mashed onto it
