Seeking some advice, my DH is 47 and had surgery for an unexplained urethral stricture several years ago. The surgery was fine but he is a 'quick healer' and he is plagued with scar tissue - he's stuck in a cycle of having to self catheterise every 3 days as the stricture / scar tissue grows back if he doesn't. The NHS team he's seeing here (rural SW) seems to think this is all that can be done but we're not keen to accept that he's stuck with this forever. Has anyone had experience of similar or can recommend even a good urology team that he might be able to ask for a referral to?
