My urine seems to ahve developed a rather odd smell. I've no pain in my kidney area or lower back, no pain on passing urine, although do have a slight tingly (similar to mild cystitis) feeling when I finish. No going more or less frequently either There's just this odd smell.

Infection? Something more sinister? Or is it my meds causing it?

Have you drank enough fluids today

So far today i have had 2 mugs of tea, three pints of squash and a glass of lemonade. I have noticed it (the smell) the past 2 or 3 morning when I get up - first urnine of the day, but today i have noticed it every time I have gone!

is it a funny colour? If dark may be dehydration, but otherwise sounds like incipient cystitis to me - drink as much water as you can and hope it clears itself. If not, GP.

try drinking cranberry juice works for cystitis

It's quite dark in the mornings, but not during the day. I did have thrush a couple of weeks ago, wonder if that has anything to with it.
I've had cystitis before and never had a smell like this!

ah yes, if you used antifungals for the thrush it may have changed the balance of your friendly bacteria Down There, hence the new smell.
And if you didn't use antifungals then the thrush coming and then going may have changed the balance ditto.

Still, never a bad thing to drink lots of water...

is is at all fishy smelling (seriouosly)and do you still have any type of vaginal infection? if so, it could be Bacterial Vaginosis, which needs anti-biotics. Jus ta thought

btw its just another infection like thrush-you get it yourself iyswim

and if it is cystitis, stop drinking any juices or caffiene. in fact, just water or unsweetened cranberry juice. catch it early and you can flush it out. leave it to fester and it can take hold and become a recurring PITA

yes deffo drink cranberry juice and barley water works a treat aswell, also, have u eaten anything different? food can have a suprising effect on our bodily functions ya know, i mean probably TMI but when i eat curry i smell like a i have the agra fort "up there" needless to say i dont really eat it anymore...
