Lips cracking and bleeding in a 9mo baby

Ds2's lips keep cracking and bleeding. What can I do about this? I keep offering him water (and he'll drink when he's thirsty) and boob. I don't think he drinks more than 3oz water a day though.

put a dab of vaseline on it as my dd is prone to chapped and cracked lips.

It may be the weird weather I have notice my 3 yr olds lips are really cracked at the moment. You could just use a decent quality lip balm on them.

Doh! I am so braindead ATM - I didn't want to put lipbalm on him because I worry about him licking it off, but reading your replies makes me realise that I could use Lansinoh safely.

a dead simple lip balm would probably be ok, i.e. non flavoured or plain shea butter-but yes you could also use lasinoh.
