Did you have periods on the progesterone-only pill (Cerazette/ Desogestrel)?

Just wondering as I went on it after the birth of both of my kids as I was breastfeeding. After DC1, a year later I got a period, but not much longer after I came off the pill anyway to ttc.

After DC2, again a year later I had a long, light period (about 6 months ago) then another about 2 months ago.

Is this normal or anything to be worried about? I thought I might have irregular periods on it but the nurse I spoke to said I wouldn't have them. Just wondering what's normal really!

Anything is normal tbh. Some women get spotting, some get random bleeding, some get heavy bleeding and others get no periods. It stopped my periods

I've bled continually for 4 months... was told it would settle but it hasn't! I'm coming off it!

I've been on it a few years between having my two children. Yes I get a period but it's every 2 months or so, and doesn't come with the accompanying terrible migraine (usually). Reason for taking it was because I got headaches on the combined pill. In my opinion it's a decent option. I will be going back on it again soon as I've recently had my second baby.

And yes at first it gave me light bleeding which went away. I get that it's annoying.

I bled every day for a year. Its was an absolute nightmare. Never again.

I was put on it because of migraine, and supposedly to control my horrendously heavy periods. Pffft.

I've been on it for years and don't have periods, I get a bit of spotting sometimes but that is very rare.

I've been on cerazette about 5 years now. One very light period in all that time.

First time on it I bled constantly for months before I gave up. Second time I had no bleed for nearly 2 years but came off it due to horrendous acne

No. I’ve not had a period for years except for when ttc. It’s awesome.

I still get periods on it ☹️ every month, sometimes more often & just as heavy ☹️☹️
