Any idea on how long it takes to get NHS e-referral details?

My GP has referred me to see a consultant with the likelihood of needing non-urgent surgery (already had the tests that show its needed). Once I’ve got into the e-referral service, I can apparently get a better idea of the waiting times, which I’m desperate to know about, as I’m in discussions with work about what support I need.

Any ideas how long it takes to get set up on the e-referral system once the referral has left the GP practice? TIA.

For me it was less than a week between speaking to the GP about being referred and receiving the e-referral letter. The letter itself detailed the available hospitals and the average wait for the first appointment. Then when I logged in I could see all the dates available. Hope this helps!

Thanks Mauhea, it’s been just over a week, so hopefully that means any day now. Just need to be patient!
