i noticed some spotty type lumps on her knee soon after we moved. i thought she has been bitten or scratched in the garden. but 4 weeks on they are still there and there are ore of them. they are quite small, raised skin coloured bumps. they dont seem to bother her, but am wondering if anyone knows what they may be. am gonna speak to the gp about them, but i am puzzled.

Maybe molluscum?

misdee · 20/09/2004 22:57

possibly is that then, but the lumps are very small, more like the small one on the boys face rather than the larger ones. she also has one on her nose. i thought they may be connected with her eczema in some way.

My son has spots too....I think we should ban twiglett until her child is spot free...maybe in a year or two she can come back.

Sounds like how ds's molluscum started except they were behind the knee. Took me 2 months to go to the doctor by which time there were about a dozen. Funnily enough it never occurred to me to look for the "culprit" who infected him !

misdee · 21/09/2004 07:57

well she hardly goes near other kids, so dont think she has been infected

my god twiglett, what a moo-cow your old friend must be!!

tbh i'm not worried about the spots, they are small, and atm just a few on her knee and one on her nose (tho that could be where she scratched her nose last week and is still healing). I would never say she was disfigured or anything. she's still a cutie-pie. And tbh the ezcema looks worse at times anyway.

some people can be soooo annoying. i remember some bloke pulling his kid away from dd1 saying 'u dot know what she has'. dd1 had a bad case of ezcema and a allergic reaction rash that day.

tell your friend she has infected my dd2

oh pants. dd2 now has spots all over her left leg, even on the soles of her feet. they are still small, not bothering her, and not looking pus filled or anything, just small skin/white coloured spots.

gp said to take her back if they spread, think this counts as spreading doesnt it?
