Why are my feet feeling like there is a heat source on them?

On the soles, near my toes. They're not hot, but feel like they have a heat source (like sun rays) on them. Started a few days ago. No rash or redness.

They've also been tingly on and off for a couple of months, but nothing major.

Google (I know) is saying it's usually diabetes is the most common cause. Not sure it'll be that as I've had quite a few blood tests this year, would something indicating that have shown up?

I've got ongoing issues with my kidneys, so I'll make a GP appointment just in case it is linked to that.

Anyone ever had something similar? It's getting on my nerves.

I have that too, and feel like I want to shake them. Also interested to know why.

Restless legs are often due to iron deficiency anaemia - what was your iron like in your blood tests? Women have a lower normal range to men, so it can be fairly low but still ‘normal’

I had similar last year but all over my toes - they were bright red though.

I went through everything I could think of - turned out I was reacting to shower gels/soaps particularly as I was showering more in the summer and scrubbing my feet (my feet tend to get grubby when I wear flipflops/sandals!) The hot/sore feeling was worse without socks on as well.

Also dryness was a factor and it became a bit of a vicious circle. I now use shower oil with no additives or soap and I moisturise my feet regularly. No more problems.

Hmm, I did have an iron deficiency a few months ago. Had to take iron tablets.

It's not happened today, thankfully. It's been driving me crazy.
