I found the advice I read confusing so can anyone enlighten me which type of sling to use between the:-

elevated arm sling
'horizontal' arm sling (if they are the correct terms)

so, which type fits which injury eg wrist, shoulder, radius etc

Thanks all.

When I did my last first aid course they showed us how to the slings and checked that we could do it, but they said that in practice, if someone has a broken arm/wrist the best thing to do, if they are able to, is to ask them to support their own arm in the most comfortable position for them until you can get medical help.
