He should go to the GPs and get them to check it out. Cysts are not uncommon in that area, but best to err on the safe side IMO.

Go to GP definately! You can't be too careful with those things!!

Dh found a lump - you know where, bless him and ended up seeing a female locum, who happened to be on that morning. He was very brave and flashed them at her. She refered him to the local specialist within a month. It turned out to be nothing.

It's worth your dp visiting the doctors just to be on the safe side, hopefully it will also be nothing to worry about.

He is quite worried at the moment, as it is red, but not sore. He wants to know if there is anything he can put on it now to put his mind at rest a little. He has been ill the past couple of days after we had a long night in last week if you understand what I mean. Do you think this can be part of the reason why?

Is it near his glands round that area? Could be related to a slight infection if so.

pinkprincess · 18/09/2004 23:06

It is about half way down on the side without trying to be too graphic

Do, please, get it properly checked out now. A neighbour where we used to live had a warty swelling on his you-know-what for a long time. He did have it checked regularly but it eventually became cancerous. He had to have the worst operation a man could possibly undergo and nasty follow-up treatment and was very ill indeed. 17yrs ago I don't think he was really expected to survive so he was very fortunate, even if he does have to sit down to pee. So, send/take your dh to the dr tomorrow, Pinkprincess.

PP, are we talking about his penis or his testicles?

It could be any number of things, most of them not 'serous, but all of them needing a check out and possible treatment. He should see the GP asap.

pinkprincess · 19/09/2004 17:40

its actually on the penis hmb

Again, it could be any number of things, most of them non 'serious' but it needs to be checked out. Could be something as minor as molluscum, but it needs to be checked, it could even be a spot!. Men are often bad about this sort of thing, better to be safe than sorry.
