been waiting 3 months for consultant appt for chronic sinusitis........heard a few horror stories......bit nervous.

good luck,i only had sinus problems once in my life and it was bloody awful. just try and keep in your mind that it will be worth it in the long run

Well, i went.......
It wasn't as bad as i thought,
He put a camera thingy up my nose.....said that there was too much mucus!

Diagnosis....'asthma in the nose!'
He's giving me a huge course steroid nose drops to be followd by a massive course of steroid inhaler.Apparently this cures 70% of cases.

Made me cry 'cos gp has given me 3 courses steroids since November....and i am becomming the size of a house

..at least it's nothing too serious.

ta,...desperate not to take steroids anymore due to massive weight gain and skin rashes...[side effects]..not sure i have a lot of choice though...fingers crossed this next lot of meds actually cures it!
