She said it was becuase the windows were open, but then had goosebumps all over her, and I thought hmm, this isnt normal feeling cold.

So we abandoned our day out, i brought her home, and she was saying she felt sick, and then when i out her to bed she was burning up.

She has had a cough for about 3 days, but absolutely fine this morning, we had only been inthe car about 1o mins!!

She has been asleep for about 2hrs and has now got up, saying she is hungry, altho she is flushed and hot.

If she says she is, can i feed her??

I'd give her toast or something else plain. If she copes with that and is still hungry then give her something else.

Poor girl.

Saturn74 · 29/07/2007 16:24

I would feed her if she's hungry.
Bless her, I hope she's feeling better soon.

paulaplumpbottom · 29/07/2007 16:26

Give her something bland to eat if she is hungry, make sure her fluid intake is high, An icepiop is a good choice to

thankyou, i had started to write the post when she was stil asleep.

Its amazing what 2 hrs sleep can do, she really was wiped out earlier on. I have seen this b4 with her, but it never gets any easier does it! One is always worreid or questioning one's judgement.

She has just eaten a tuna sandwich, a crumpet and is now sucking a lolly

is as red as a beetroot, but seems much better.

Well it was al going fine until the big chills came agin, poor thing. I have been sat in her room with her, she was shaking she was so cold, but hot to the touch.

Will have to keep an eye on her now, god I'm knackered just watching her.

hi, well she's still poorly. Picked up a bit today, but refused food most of the day, and started the shivers again this evening.

Must be a virus, maybe a flu type thing? And the bloody sun was out today.

I'm not feeling much better myself, got similar, but not the fever.

oh well, just thought I'd post.

Think I'm going stir crazy!!

Sorry to hear she's poorly - have you given her any meds?

If you're worried you could always ring NHS Direct, or look at their website.
Hope she's better soon (and you too if you're feeling poorly)

Trinityrhino · 30/07/2007 20:20

your not going stir crazy
when one of your children are ill it is very stressful
just the basic actions of taking care of a sick child is very draining not to mention the worrying about them
also you aren't well which is hard in itself but triply hard wheb you are nursing your sick little one

your not going crazy, you sound like a lovely mum
remember to take care of yourself too

hope you both get better very soon
