My body's confusing me...

Hi,
My periods have not been very regular the last 3 months - they vary between 30 to 35 days. This month was very strange. I generally know when I'm ovulating as I get some faint pain on one side in the middle of my cycle and some discharge. The pain lasts a day or so and then stops. But from then on I still feel "something". My belly is slightly swolen and as I reach the end of the cycle it gets quite bloated - which end up in a period.

This month it was the same. But my period didn't come on day 31, so decided to test and it came negative - that was Wednesday. So waited for my period. Normaly, it should have arrived in a day or 2 but it didn't.

My feeling that my period was coming stopped and I started feeling pregnant.
I thought I perhaps tested too early and decied to test again today. I was pregnant 3 times already so thought I recognised the feeling. My tummy was especially big and I began to feel like I did in my previous pregnancies.
I got my period today, and am very confused. This has never happened to me before - feelign period's coming then not feeling that and then period coming (and not pregnant).
Has it happened to anyone? Could there be something wrong?
Thanks

I'm a little confused by your post - a cycle from between 30-35 days is normal for some women; the bloated feeling is normal; feeling like your period's coming and then not , and then coming a few days later doesn't sound abnormal.

Is there a possibity you could have been pregnant, and have had a very early miscarriage?

Apart from that, from what you say, I don't think it sounds like there's anything wrong.

Thanks Belgo for your reply. It's just that My tummy was especially big and I felt very similar to my previous pregnancies. I also though it could be an early niscarriage, but I tested on Wednesday and it came negative.
It just never happened like that before. I felt tired and weed more often and that only happened when I was pregnant.
This time is the first time, I'm aware of my cycles as thinking of getting pregnant again. With my kids, pregnancies just "happened" without really trying, so I never payed attention to anything.
I don't know if this month could be normal and how do I consider this month with ovulation for next month.

I know I'm confusing here, it's just thinking that I was pregnant and got excited and then realising I'm not - got disappointed and worried that it won't come easy as before. Sorry, don't know myself anymore.

it does sound a bit like a chemical pregnancy to me, have you been under any stress this month or ill?

belgo · 29/07/2007 09:02

debliz - nothing that you've said makes me think that there's something wrong.

The fact that you've become pregnant so easily is a very good sign that you'll become pregnant again without too much trouble

As for whether or not you've had an early miscarriage - you'll never know for certain. Early miscarriages are unfortunately very common. I think I had one at 5 weeks a few years ago, but I don't know for certain.

Try not to worry. Maybe join a TTC thred under 'conception'?

debliz5. i think you should stop worrying and relax! if you have fallen pg before without problem, there should be no reason it wont happen again.

i think your watching yourself too much looking for signs of being pg (if that makes sense?) its hard when you want something so bad i know.

can i ask what you meant by 'Sorry, don't know myself anymore'.. did you mean body or mind?
