Thinking of you and your DH, and hoping for good results for you tomorrow.

mummytosteven · 25/07/2007 21:17

best wishes to you all for tomorrow

onlyjoking9329 · 25/07/2007 21:20

we won't get results tomorrow, they say 3 weeks until results back.
when he had his first scan in jan he had the scan at 5.30 pm and we got a phone call before 11 the next morning to say scan was showing something and he was admitted the same day, went on to be DX with MS & brain tumour, this scan is to compare with the last one. we are dreading a phone call the next day.

how are you doing onlyjoking? I'm hoping you haven't heard anything yet.

DH has his second MRI tomorrow ... this is to see how the tumour responded to the chemo and radio. The biopsy was inconclusive but the oncologist interpreted that as high grade, but the neurosurgeon (and the 3 2nd opinions we got!) say intermediate. Still shit to be honest but means the difference between 1-2 years and 5-10. DH is doing ok. Bit of hazy memory at times and very tired but ok. So proud of him. I'm up and down. Like you, had nearly 6 months of this now. funny how life goes isn't it.

By the way, we've been on holiday and could get insurance no problem but they exclude everything to do with the brain tumour! I have private medical which covers emergency hospital treatment abroad so we took the risk.

onlyjoking9329 · 29/07/2007 17:19

no, we are hoping no news is good news!
can they do another biopsy? i think that is the only sure way of grading. which type of tumour does your DH have?
