Sertraline and laser hair removal

Name changed.

I am due to have laser hair removal for the first time next week and have read conflicting advice online about taking antidepressants whilst undergoing treatment.

I think Sertraline can make you more photosensitive. Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm on 50mg so not a particularly high dose. I don't really want to cancel my appointment but will if it's dangerous.

I'm on 50mg if sertraline like you OP and am using an at home IPL device with no ill effects if that helps 🤷‍♀️

Just updating for anyone who reads this looking for stories (although obviously talk to your GP too.) I ended up having 7 sessions of laser hair removal to no ill effects while on 50mg Sertraline.
