Pulled a muscle in my back and now my shoulders are wonky??

I pulled a muscle or something in my back 3 days ago when picking something up, my left mid/lower has been in pain since.

I figured I would just rest in bed for a few days however i noticed my shoulders are now kind of wonky? Is it just the injured tissue pulling other muscles together and causing the shoulder to go up?

Will it just get better over the next few days?

Im back at work soon so i'm just worrying :(

Anyone experienced this or have any ideas?

I expect the pulled muscle has tightened due to being inflamed, take painkillers/anti inflammatories and use a mix of ice and heat a couple of times a day for 10-20 min each.
If it's not settling within a week I would suggest a chiropractor who can work on loosening the area and advise exercises.
I see one on a regular basis due to things often being out of alignment.

I think @youlemming has it pretty well spit on. Although I don't think you need a chiropractor - a sports massage therapist will be able to sort you out. My sports massage therapist is also a Pilates instructor so is an expert imposture and injuries.

Ask your local running club to recommend a sports massage therapist. Hope you feel better soon.
