Migraine and crawling/tingling scalp feeling

I had a migraine last week but am still not quite over it. Today I've been experiencing a sensation like something is crawling over my scalp, almost like a tickling wave movement. I've had this before. Usually preceding. Has anybody else experienced this linked to migraine? It always freaks me out a bit and it's hard to find evidence via Dr Google that it happens to other people!

I am pretty sure I have read about a skin crawling sensation in relation to B12 deficiency so it might be worth getting that checked in case you need injections. My B12 deficiency also causes me to have more frequent migraines, so it seems plausible.

Thanks @elrider - I can't imagine it's that though as I'm taking shitloads of vitamins but maybe I'll raise it with doctor just in case

It's usually from an inability to absorb B12 through the stomach so it doesn't matter how many tablets you take or B12-rich food you ate, your levels would be low until you had it injected. Worth a check!

Definitely worth a check thank you! I recently had a baby and my levels were fine during pregnancy but maybe I should get a postpartum check. However I did have this before pregnancy too. Gah!

I get this and my scalp also goes incredibly sensitive (washing my hair really hurts) in the 24 hours before a migraine. Ditto afterwards. Just assumed it was migraine related

@Chartreuser although my sympathies obviously Migraine is truly awful, it's starting to really affect my life
