How long to wait for a pacemaker on the NHS

Just curious really. MIL who has had some health problems for quite a while such as breathing problems and tiredness was on holiday in Maderia when she suffered 3 blackouts, these are the only ones that she is aware of. Partner took her to the hospital and her heartbeat was very very slow, done a few tests on the day she was admitted and they then fitted a pacemaker on the same day. This is now her 3rd day in hospital and she feels wonderful, according to the doctors in maderia a slow heart beat would make you tired and affect your breathing. Partner cant complain about her care, lovely clean wards etc etc.

She has been to her gp endless times in the UK, and the most she got was that she was asthmatic and she had an inhaler.

She is still in hospital in maderia where they are doing more tests.

Just wondered if she would get that speed of treatment in the UK?
