Feeling sick after eating sugary food - how to relieve the symptoms?!

I live abroad and bought some bread from the bakery which turned out to be a sweet bread (a bit like Panettone or hot cross buns), it was delicious but I ate too much of it and now feel sick/nauseous. Similar to when you eat too many sweets. I know how to prevent it happening - eat less sugary food obviously, but sometimes I have an accidental binge... How do I get rid of this horrible feeling?!

I think you have answered your own question. You are too much and you feel unwell. Don't eat as much?!Confused

For now you could try peppermint tea though...

I'm wondering how a bit of sweet bread could make you feel queasy... unless you ate the whole loaf?? In which case it's probably the amount of bread rather than the sugar to blame.

Do you usually avoid anything sweet?

I've eaten 3 pieces of toast and honey this morning and I feel fine ;)

However, if you feel sick from eating too much (sugary or otherwise), just don't eat or drink anything for a few hours. Maybe sip cold water or ginger or peppermint tea. It will pass!
