Hey All

Background 39, 3 c sections, sterilised at 30. Ablation 2014 for . Contraceptive pill 18-30. Mum died from ovarian cancer.

I've always been hairy than normal. For as long as I can remember always had chin hair. Legs and arms need shaving regular else im a yeti. Always had some hair around belly button and had side burns.

For the past 6 months my hairyness has got worse. The sides of my face are hairy and now under my chin. I went to my GP and explained the problem. She ran some tests and they returned normal. I've been online and seen progressive hairyness is a sign of adrenal cancer. GP said the tests she did would highlight anything nasty.
I'm so worried. I don't feel I can go back but I'm genuinely concerned about adrenal cancer. GP said it couldn't be Pcos as my ovaries on a scan 4yrs ago were normal. There has to be some explanation for my hairy appearance.

Could it be your thyroid or even early peri menopause symptoms, my facial hair has increased since the menopause.

Do you have health anxiety? Is this your first cancer concern?

I was going to suggest perimenopause too.

If there's no physical cause ask about a therapy referral. It sounds like the trauma of losing your mum is causing you anxiety.
