Chicken pox : How long do I have to wait before my DD can go out ?

The first red spots just came out today...please tell me, we dont have to stay at home for the next 10 days !!

The usual advice is until they've all scabbed over - around 5 days, generally. Sympathies - buy piriton, calamine aqueous cream, oats and bicarb (the last 2 for baths). Just getting over it here too.

OMG...what a nice way of starting the summer holidays...Thanks for your reply, I'm going to ask dh to buy the stuff you are mentionning above !
