Can someone tell me what this is?

Can someone help me? This is on my lower back and very painful. Is it a boil or abcess? I've had this for a couple of weeks and the past few days I've been applying magnesium sulphate with a breathable gauge to see if I can draw anything out. I'm on holiday in a few days so want it gone!

You've had this for a few weeks and haven't been to see your GP?? Make an appointment to see a doctor. Random strangers on the internet cannot diagnose your health problems from a photograph.

I think it might be a cyst, I believe lower back is a common place to get them. Please go to your ooh or gp at the very first available instance, these can be very painful and require surgery if infected. Are you otherwise well?

I have an appointment with my gp but not until next week as they're too busy. I just wondered if anyone knew in the meantime.
