Hoping someone can help as the GP friends I usually call on in such situations are on holiday!

My 10 month old has got sore wet bits behind her ear - both at the top and at the bottom.

Any thoughts? Cream suggestions? She doesn't seem too bothered but it really doesn't look great.

TIA

IIRC I asked at the pharmasists but was told I had to see the GP. You could try the chemist first if it is easy to get too but be prepared for them to say no.

Dd2 had that last summer - can be wet eczema. Keep it dry as much as poss.

doyouwantfrieswiththat · 20/07/2007 13:01

treat it like nappy rash -wash it, dry it & dollop on a bit of sudocrem

if it persists, see your GP/practice nurse

hi tassis - DS2 has eczema that's a bit like that behind his ear and if we don't keep on top of it t gets oozy. I know it seems an odd way round but we keep it moist with his moisturising cream (cetraben) and that helps a lot.

If you don't think it's eczema what about putting a drop of tea tree oil on it - that's antiseptic, antifungal and will dry it out a bit.

Personally I'd take her to a pharmacist though if you can't get to the GP.

X- posts tassis, glad you're getting her seen to, hope they sort it.
