Help - post natal rash/spots?

DS2 is just 10 days old, and I'm breastfeeding him. Anyway during the course of yesterday i developed a largish patch/rash on one of my cheeks, and a similar, but smaller one on the other. Overnight this has turned into a collection of little white-headed spots - yuk - not unlike baby milk spots really, but more clustered. Anyone any idea what might be going on? Could it be hormonal, or a reaction to make-up or something? (it has been very hot over the last day or two, perhaps I've got blocked pores? Anyone ever had anything similar after birth? What did you use?

Hi Mo, looked at your message and thought it was going to be about DS having a rash. My DD had it very very bad (bright red face) for about 2 weeks but it then all cleared up ... probably is hormonal as that's what they say causes it on babes too. Sorry not much help. Hope it clears up soon.

Mo2, my DS2 had something like this after birth, it was like acne. I have since read that babies can get something like acne and it is passed to them through the hormones. I did wonder however if it was something to do with breastfeeding, his delicate skin being against my not so delicate skin and it getting irritated. However it cleared up by about 6 to 8 weeks.
