Dd has a horrible mouth ulcer inside her bottom lip. I have tried infant bonjela on it but it seems to be getting bigger. Don't know what else to do. Looks really sore but she doesn't seem amazingly bothered by it. Any ideas gratefully received. TIA

Ds1 had a few mouth ulcers yesterday(look at the other mouth ulcer thread) and I got some Anbesol gel which is probably the same as Bonjela. He was really grumpy and off his food so I took him to the doctor today who thinks he has the start of either chicken pox or hand foot and mouth.Apparently they're both "doing the rounds" at the mo,so keep an eye on your dd-hopefully it's just a mouth ulcer.

DS1, DS3 and I all have some hoooj ulcers at the mo. I use something called oral paste from the chemist, you have to ask for it, will google. It's better than Bonjela as it sticks to the area that needs it.

How old is your dd?

If over one, give her some spoonfuls of honey. It is one of the most powerful antiseptics known to mankind.

duh! It says her age in the OP.

Honey! honestly ..
